Half of my photos are of skylines. I real adore them. I love taking photo of the scenery. The first one is of BCC’s Hall of Fame. Scenery is just such a beautiful thing to look at and just to think about everything and anything. I just really appreciate the beauty of the sky and nature in general. I had been going through a tough break up and there was this one day that I just sat there after class and just wonder why I was so stuck on this break up and who and what I wanted to do with my life. I wondered if I was happy or not and just thought a lot about life and “being here.” And I just had this moment where all of those questions were answered and I felt genuinely happy with who I was and where I was going in life.
This photo is overlooking Randall's Island. I meant my guy best friend online and we finally decided to hang out and by this time he introduced me to squad! Haha. So I knew a few of his friends who became mine. We all met up on 110th in Spanish Harlem. My friend Kiana took us to this walkway near Randall's Island and we heard loud music playing and I remembered that The Governor’s Ball music festival was going on. So we decided to walk that way and we sat down on this bench near the exit of the festival. I’m guessing it was coming to an end because people were starting to leave. My friend Dwayne had this great idea that we should yell “free hugs” and see if we’d actually get any hugs. And that's what we did. I got a hugs from this boy in a bear coat and that was the warmest hug I’ve ever gotten. We just got a lot of positive reactions and a bunch of fun and funny people talking to us. This one guy said “I love your positive vibes, guys. We need more people like you around. Keep it up.” And that just made my night.
This is a screenshot of a song because music is LIFE! I love music and listening to all types of it. I love how there is all kinds of music for all occasions. For when you're sad, happy, upset, or feeling like a diva. Or you get that one song that makes you feel like you’re in a music video while you’re walking down the street.
The last photo is of me and my best friend who’s more like my sister. We’re always together. I love being around her because she’s so chill and funny and fun to be around. I’ve known her since the 6th grade but we became close in the 8th grade. We’ve been through a bunch and we’re always there for each other. She’s not like not like this generation all wild and drinking and into drugs. We just hang out in the house and talk about anything & everything or go out and just explore or go out to eat. And that’s one of the reasons I love her. We don’t have to be intoxicated to have fun! They say opposites attract and it’s so true. She’s my complete opposite. She can be loud, crazy and very mean to outsiders and I’m always chill, quiet, and keeping her
